In our daily lives, we often fall into a predictable rhythm—seeing the same things, touching the same textures, and smelling the same familiar scents. This project challenges that monotony with a Sensory Awakening Kit designed to reawaken our senses and inspire connection. The kit invites users to explore a variety of shapes, textures, materials, colours, and scents. Each element can be combined and customised using Velcro, which not only allows for easy swapping but also guides users intuitively in how to interact with the pieces. Once assembled, the sensory experience can be shared with a friend or loved one—creating a playful, tangible way to spark curiosity and connection. Inspired by the open-ended philosophy of Yo-Yo Machines, this kit encourages personal expression and co-creation. Users can even add their own materials and scents, making every creation deeply personal. This project explores how simple, hands-on interactions can cut through routine and bring a moment of wonder into someone’s day.
